Collect a Piece of History
The story of Castner Frames begins in 1882 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where the L.M. Castner Company was founded. From its earliest days, Castner was known for producing some of the finest handcrafted frames for pictures and mirrors—each one a product of skilled artistry
and timeless design.

From the beginning, the company’s frames were distinguished by their ornate detailing and durable construction. These weren’t -- and still aren't -- mass-produced items. They're heirlooms
in the making, crafted with care and precision.

In the mid-20th century, Castner’s legacy was carried forward by new artisans and designers,
including Craig Hackman, who revived the historic line of Castner oil portrait frames in 2013 through his Columbus-based Hackman Frame Company. Today, Franklin Imaging continues to honor Castner’s history as the sole steward of Castner molds.
